What is a deep link?
A deep link is a type of link that, unlike traditional links, directs the user straight to a specific page or resource within a mobile application rather than simply opening the app on its homepage. These links provide a direct path to specific content, thereby improving navigation efficiency.
What is the connection between Daxium-Air and deep links?
Daxium-Air is a web and mobile solution that enables you to create mobile applications to organize all operational exchanges between field teams and headquarters on a single platform. Through this application and the customization of forms, you can collect field information, centralize your data, and automate your processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Our various features also allow you to plan and assign tasks using our planning tool, as well as access dashboards to analyze your data. As a mobile application, Daxium-Air can also be connected to other applications you already use through the configuration of deep links, allowing you to navigate and interact seamlessly with them.
The 3 main advantages of deep links:
1.Instant navigation: As an executive, manager, or supervisor, you have the ability to access reports directly without going through intermediate menus. This saves time and reduces frustration associated with searching for information.
2.Integration with other applications: By enabling seamless integration with other applications, deep links facilitate processes such as importing calendar data for planning field team assignments or accessing various resources stored in third-party applications that your teams may need. Deep links also simplify processes like dynamically pre-filling data in Daxium-Air based on information from a third-party application.
3.Enhanced communication: Push notifications incorporating deep links can be used to alert technicians about new maintenance tasks, with links that open directly to the task details within the application.
Better understand how deep links work.
A deep link allows the Daxium-Air application to be called from a third-party app installed on a user’s smartphone to execute an action. The type of action performed through deep links can include, for instance, opening a Daxium-Air form and pre-filling it with relevant values sourced from the other application. For example, if you use an expense management app and want to switch to Daxium-Air to fill out an expense allocation form for a client intervention, the first app, with a properly configured deep link, can open Daxium-Air directly on the screen for creating a new record and pre-fill fields such as the client, expense type, and service amount.
Diagram: How does inter-application communication work?
When an application calls a Daxium-Air deep link, it moves to the background while the Daxium-Air application comes to the foreground. The calling application can be closed by the system at any time. Once the process in Daxium-Air is completed, the calling application can be brought back to the foreground.
