With a presence of 150 years, its main activities revolve around risk inspections of real estate properties (private residences, professional risks, agricultural operations, etc.). The mutual insurer also assists policyholders who have experienced a disaster during a natural event (storm, flood, etc.).
Today, more than 165,000 members trust them to insure their homes, boats, businesses, agricultural operations, or associations.
How to Improve Efficiency and Enhance Inspection Processes?
For many years, during field risk inspections, inspectors manually collected data on paper. Additionally, a few photos could be taken on their smartphones. Inspectors were responsible for ensuring that their data collection was accurate and that each photo was appropriately associated. These daily tasks consumed time, detracting from their core mission.
Therefore, Finistère Assurance sought a solution to centralize all field data and improve efficiency.

They also have access to a centralized web platform for data storage, facilitating real-time information analysis and sharing among all stakeholders. With advanced features such as image capture and automated inspection report creation, this solution hassignificantly improved the accuracy of evaluations, optimized internal validation processes, enhanced transparency, and improved policyholder satisfaction by reducing claim processing times.
How Does Finistère Assurance Use Its Application on a Daily Basis?
Step 1: Customization of forms from the back-office.
Depending on the needs, forms can be customized to collect field data. Choice lists, text areas for note-taking, precise location of risk addresses, and editable photo captures are integrated into the application.
Step 2: Centralization of data on a single web tool.
The secure web-based back-office tool allows tracking of the number of field visits by filtering by products (homes, professional, etc.) and by month or year. Finistère Assurance can thus understand the field needs of brokers and adjust their internal business strategy accordingly.
Step 3: Creation of automatic reports and data analysis.
Once the form is completed and validated by the itinerant inspector, a report is automatically generated and sent by email. These reports, edited following risk inspections, also enable faster internal analysis (insurance projects/contracts or policyholder compensation).
